Resident Services
When the Housing Authority of the City of Frederick (HACF) partnered with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to create Frederick's HOPE VI project, not only did the plan include building new and beautiful mixed income housing units, but it also provided for services to the people who lived in the John Hanson and Roger B. Taney communities along with those who will qualify to return to the new sites.
Frederick's HOPE VI offices are staffed with a dedicated team of professionals who design and run classes, maintain a lending library, facilitate tax preparation and offer career training and job searches for adults. GED classes, computer classes and senior activities add to the excitement at the HOPE VI headquarters. We recognize and believe kids are our future and a partnership with Head Start is only the beginning of what's offered to the next generation. As kids grow, our homework club is ready to help out after school. Game Night is offered as an area of technological enrichment. Want to know more? Give us a call!
