Modernization Department

The Modernization Department is responsible for carrying out the Capital Improvements Program, which manages the non-routine repairs and upgrades for the Housing Authority of the City of Frederick (HACF).

The Modernization Department is responsible for the selection and management of consultants and contractors, in addition to all aspects of project management, from the planning stage through design, bidding and construction. Examples of work managed by the department include roof replacements, internal and external structure corrections, major mechanical replacement contracts, as well as the redesign of interior facilities to preserve the life and usefulness of buildings.

Contractors and vendors who are interested in being considered and included for solicitation of these goods and services are encouraged to review the HACF Current Projects.

For more information, please contact Laura Strouth, Modernization Assistant, at (301) 662-8173 or e-mail her at lstrouth@hacfrederick.org.
