Maintenance Items
If a work order is filed with the Maintenance Department, policy dictates that a maintenance staff member will diagnose the cause for the repair. If the repair is due to the failure of proper care for the unit and/or equipment within, the resident will be charged. The resident shall not be charged for repairs caused by normal wear and tear on property or factors outside of his/her control, such as the weather or a natural disaster. The Maintenance Superintendent makes the final judgment on service charges utilizing the unit history file and discussion with the maintenance mechanic and resident where necessary.
